Hometown, Family & Occupation: Terri grew up in Birch Hills, Saskatchewan, and now lives in Saskatoon with her family. She is married to Adam, and they have three children: Carina, who works as a program coordinator for Vancouver Society of Childcare Centers; Alex, who is in his third year of Computer Science at the University of Saskatchewan; and Adrian, who is entering his second year at the College of Nursing at the University of Saskatchewan. Terri works as a Grade 6 teacher at Lake Vista School in Martensville, where she inspires and nurtures the next generation of students.
Kin Club & Kinsmen Foundation Board Involvement: Terri is an active member of the Saskatoon and District Kinettes, where she has made lifelong friendships and contributed to many service projects .She recently completed her two-year term on the Board as a Zone Representative and is serving as the Chair of TeleMiracle 49 Committee.
Role on the Kinsmen Foundation and Why on the Board: Terri has been involved with the Kinsmen Foundation Board for five years, serving two 2-year terms and stepping in for an additional year to replace another representative. Her time on the Board has been one of the most rewarding experiences of her life—satisfying, humbling, and heart-filling. Inspired by her fellow club members’ positive experiences on the Board, Terri was drawn to the opportunity to make a meaningful difference. As a mother, she also wanted to set an example for her children, teaching them the importance of community service and helping others through Kin.
Favorite TeleMiracle Memory: Terri treasures many wonderful memories from TeleMiracle, but two stand out. The first is a memorable one-on-one chat she had with Bob McGrath at a TeleMiracle windup celebration. They bonded over their shared experiences working with children, with Bob sharing stories from his time on the set of Sesame Street. His kindness and wisdom left a lasting impression on Terri. Another favorite memory is from TeleMiracle 43, where her husband, Adam, served as Chair, and their children participated in the show and celebrations. The entire experience brought her family even closer and deepened her connection to the cause.
Passion for Community Service & Love of Sask: Terri’s passion for service is rooted in her love for her community and the friendships she’s built through the Kinettes. She enjoys sharing the Kin experience with new members and is proud of the impact her club has made through its many projects. Terri is in awe of the natural beauty of Saskatchewan—the vast skies, serene lakes, and diverse wildlife. But most of all, she loves the people, whose generosity never ceases to amaze her, and of course, her family.
Milestones & Awards: Terri’s involvement in Kin has been marked by her leadership and dedication, including her recent role as Chair of TeleMiracle 49, a milestone that she cherishes. Her five years on the Board, filled with countless memorable moments, reflect her unwavering commitment to helping others.
