Covid-19 Adaptations

Keep checking back, we will update this site with any updates, as things progress.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the safety and well being of our staff, volunteers, applicants and the public remains our top priority.

We are very grateful that Telemiracle was able to take place before large events had to be cancelled. Thank you again to everyone who helped make Telemiracle 44 the success it was!  It will allow the Kinsmen Foundation to help the people of Saskatchewan for another year.

On March 18, 2020, the province of Saskatchewan declared a State of Emergency. In response, the Kinsmen Foundation office (which includes Telemiracle staff) closed on March 23, 2020 until further notice.

The staff is working remotely, from their homes, but this will mean changing how they do their work. It will also dictate what tasks can be accomplished now and which ones have to wait (see below for partial list). We ask for your patience and cooperation as we do our best to minize the impact this situation has on everyone else.

NOTE: To avoid unecessary delays, wherever possible, instead of sending us something by mail, please send via email or fax (our faxes are re-routed to an email address).

  • Cheques to funding recipients will continue as normal. Some of you may be contacted for your banking information, as we are slowly transitioning to direct deposit. This will not happen all at once, so please bear with us.

  • Cheques to vendors may be delayed, but we are doing our best to get them out in a timely fashion.

  • Mail is only being received twice per week so please allow extra time for us to repond. Mail will only be received once per week in July and August.

  • All receipts for donations made in 2019 and 2020 have been sent out. If you didn't get yours, or misplaced it, please go to our Contact Us page and contact Wendi to get another copy sent to you.

  • Telemiracle 44 bears will be delayed going out also. Normally we would ship bears out to donors starting in June. This work would be done by staff with help from groups of volunteers, including Kinsmen and Kinettes, to package them up and mail them out. We've decided to send the bears out in September, to make sure it's safe to gather our volunteers.

  • We will not be sending out thank you certificates right away, as many of the places we send them to are closed at the moment.

We are extremly grateful for your patience and cooperation! Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
