Hometown, Family & Occupation:
Nora grew up in Leader, SK, and now makes her home in Unity. She and her husband are proud parents of two children—one just starting college and the other preparing to graduate high school in June. Nora is a small business owner and sole proprietor of What the Float, a sensory deprivation tank studio, and she also works as a Registered Massage Therapist.
Kin Club & Kinsmen Foundation Board Involvement:
Nora has been an active member of the Kin Club of Unity, where she has served as both President and Vice President. She previously served on the Kinsmen Foundation Board but stepped away due to family priorities. “I loved it, I missed it, and I came back,” she says. Nora is excited to once again serve as Zone E Representative, bringing her passion for Kin and community service back to the board.
Favorite TeleMiracle Memory:
One of Nora’s most unforgettable memories is being on stage at the end of TeleMiracle 47 when the record-breaking total was announced. She also cherishes the moments she’s shared volunteering for TeleMiracle alongside her daughters—memories that highlight the generational impact of giving back.
Passion for Community Service & Love of Sask:
Community involvement has always been second nature to Nora. From serving on school boards to supporting victim services and helping with Victim Services golf tournaments in Unity, she has always found ways to contribute. Growing up along the South Saskatchewan River gave her an early appreciation for the province’s natural beauty, and even after living abroad in Taiwan for a year, she found herself longing for Saskatchewan’s wide-open skies, bright yellow canola fields, northern lights, and star-filled nights. “The friendliness and giving nature of the people here is what makes Saskatchewan so special,” she says.
Milestones & Awards:
Nora was recognized as Zone A Kin of the Year in 2023-24 and has served in several leadership roles with her local club, including President. Her time on the Kinsmen Foundation Board, both past and present, reflects her ongoing commitment to strengthening her community and supporting families across Saskatchewan.
