Hometown, Family & Occupation:
Originally from Labrador, Bonnie has called Saskatchewan home for the past 40 years and has lived in Martensville since 1993. She and her husband have been married for 37 years and have two adult children, Ashli, who married in June 2026, and Nathan, who is getting married in July 2027. Bonnie and her family are excitedly expecting their first grandchild in December. Professionally, Bonnie has spent 24 years in the credit union system and currently serves as a Financial Accounting Analyst 1 with Conexus Credit Union. She has held many positions over that time and has been through two mergers in the last three years.

Kin Club & Kinsmen Foundation Board Involvement:
Bonnie is a member of the Saskatoon & District Kinettes. She has been volunteering at TeleMiracle since TM 25, and was first elected to the Kinsmen Foundation Board as a Zone Representative in 2007–2008. Over the years she has served as Zone DD Representative for two years, Zone D Representative for one year, and as Treasurer, in addition to chairing TeleMiracle 39. This will be her sixth year serving on the Kinsmen Foundation Board, now as Member-at-Large, Finance Support.

Being an advocate for applicants has been one of the most meaningful parts of her Foundation work. “We were their voice for presenting their applications. Seeing the impact that we make on the lives of so many in Saskatchewan is humbling. There is a true need in this province, and the money raised at TeleMiracle has helped many people.”

Favorite TeleMiracle Memory:
Bonnie’s favourite TeleMiracle memory is her year serving as TeleMiracle 39 Chair.

Passion for Community Service & Love of Saskatchewan:
What motivates Bonnie is her passion to help others and give back to the people of Saskatchewan. “It is a very humbling experience, seeing the support each year from the communities and individuals that donate to TeleMiracle, and then seeing those dollars raised helping individuals and organizations.” She also finds something familiar in the province she now calls home. “Saskatchewan people remind me a lot of home, how people come together to help others and the genuine caring of others.”

Milestones & Awards:
Bonnie counts among her achievements the many positions she has held on her club executive, her years on the Foundation Board, and of course her year as TeleMiracle Chair. She also considers the friends she has made over the years an achievement in their own right. “They are now family to me.”
