Sharleen Montague

Kin Canada, District 3 Vice-Governor

Hometown, Family & Occupation:
Sharleen grew up in a farming community near Aberdeen, SK, and now lives in Saskatoon with her husband Rob, their three children—Sean, Jennifer, and Megan—and three rescue dogs. She works in health care as a Medical Laboratory Technologist and is currently the Laboratory Manager of the Clinical Microbiology department at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon.

Kin Club & Kinsmen Foundation Board Involvement:
Sharleen is a proud member of the Saskatoon & District Kinette Club, where she has taken on many roles, contributed to numerous projects, and built lifelong friendships. She enjoys mentoring and encouraging others, helping her club remain strong, active, and vibrant in the community. As District 3 Vice Governor, Sharleen joins the Kinsmen Foundation Board for the first time and looks forward to learning more about the Foundation’s impact across Saskatchewan.

Passion for Community Service & Love of Sask:
For Sharleen, community service is about giving back, making connections, and supporting those in need. She believes even the smallest acts of kindness can have a big impact. Sharleen values the “small town” spirit that Saskatchewan embodies—neighbors helping neighbors, and people working together to ensure everyone has the support they need. She sees that same spirit reflected in the generosity of Saskatchewan people through TeleMiracle.

Favorite TeleMiracle Memory:
Sharleen’s favorite TeleMiracle memory is from her childhood, when she attended the show live as part of the audience instead of watching from home. She was thrilled to see the performers and cast in person, especially Bob McGrath from Sesame Street. Years later, as a Kin volunteer, she had the chance to meet Bob and share TeleMiracle memories with him.

Milestones & Awards in Kin:
Sharleen has accomplished many things in her Kin career, but her greatest achievement was receiving her Life Membership in 2018. This honor recognized her significant contributions, dedication, and service to her club and her community.
