Hometown, Family & Occupation:
Michelle lives in Lloydminster, AB, where she works as an insurance agent. Kin holds a special place in her heart, as it’s how she met her husband, Byron. Together they share a blended family of four wonderful kids—Jayden, Paige, Noah, and Kaybree.
Kin Club & Kinsmen Foundation Board Involvement:
Michelle began her Kin journey in 2013 with the Kinette Club of Lloydminster before transferring to the Kin Club of Maidstone. Over the years, she has held many leadership roles at both the club and district levels, including Vice President, President, Bulletin Editor, Membership Director, Deputy Governor, Service Director, Governor, and Club Support Director. On the Kinsmen Foundation Board, she has served as Vice Governor, Governor, and Zone A & G Representative, and now proudly serves as Vice Chair. “For me, serving on the Kinsmen Foundation Board is all about the people we help every single day,” Michelle shares. “It’s knowing that the time, energy, and resources we dedicate are making a real and lasting difference in people’s lives across Saskatchewan.”
Favorite TeleMiracle Memory:
Michelle’s most meaningful TeleMiracle memory is volunteering alongside her daughter, Kaybree, and her stepson, Noah. “Watching our kids choose to give back and experience TeleMiracle firsthand has been incredibly special.” Her love for TeleMiracle, however, began much earlier. As a child, she remembers camping out on the living room floor with her siblings, staying up late to watch the show, waiting for their names to scroll across the screen, and excitedly hoping to catch a glimpse of Bob from Sesame Street. “Those early memories planted the seed, and it’s been growing ever since,” she says.
Passion for Community Service & Love of Sask:
Volunteering has always been part of who Michelle is—it’s never been about recognition, but about making a genuine difference. Growing up in rural Saskatchewan gave her a strong sense of responsibility to give back. “Saskatchewan is full of generous, kind-hearted people, and I’m proud to be part of a community that always shows up when it matters most.”
Milestones & Awards:
Michelle is a proud Life Member of Kin Canada and a recipient of the Outstanding Kin Award for District 3. She also led District 3 as Governor in 2021–2022, when the district was recognized as the Outstanding District across all of Kin Canada—an achievement Michelle credits to the dedication and heart of her entire executive team. In addition, she has contributed her leadership to several TeleMiracle committees, serving as both Corporate Co-Chair and Manpower Chair.
