Role on the Kinsmen Foundation and Why on the Board: Randy’s journey with Kin began in April 1996 while working for the Royal Bank in Melville. Invited to a Kinsmen meeting, he quickly became a dedicated member. His career with RBC took him to various communities in Saskatchewan, where he joined the Weyburn Kinsmen Club, Yorkton Kinsmen Club, and finally the POW City Kinsmen Club. Each move brought new challenges, but Kin provided an instant family and support network, helping him build long-lasting friendships while giving back to the community. Randy was asked to join the Kinsmen Foundation Board to assist with financial matters. Over time, various Foundation Chairs asked him to continue his service, and now, over a decade later, Randy remains a vital part of the Board. His long tenure reflects the rewarding nature of the work and his commitment to serving the community.

Favorite TeleMiracle Memory: Randy’s favorite TeleMiracle memory is rooted in his childhood. Growing up in Saskatchewan, the first weekend in March was synonymous with TeleMiracle. He fondly remembers staying up late to watch the show and feeling the excitement as the donation total climbed. The desire to volunteer at TeleMiracle stayed with him, and he fulfilled that dream in 1997 as a member of the Melville Kinsmen Club.

Passion for Community Service & Love of Sask: Randy’s passion for community service is evident in his long-standing commitment to Kin Canada. Whether through local club activities or his financial leadership on the Kinsmen Foundation Board, Randy is dedicated to making a positive impact in the communities he serves. For Randy, the best thing about living in Saskatchewan is TeleMiracle. The event represents the spirit of community and generosity that he loves about the province.
