Stephanie Jarton

Member at Large (Occupational Therapist)

Hometown, Family & Occupation: Stephanie grew up in Sedley and now resides in Kronau. She shares her home with her husband and their two Bengal cats, Smith and Wesson. Professionally, Stephanie works as an Occupational Therapist in Weyburn, where she assists clients in finding equipment and solutions to improve their quality of life.

Kin Club & Kinsmen Foundation Board Involvement: Stephanie is a member of the Regina and District Kin Club. She serves as a Member at Large, specializing in Occupational Therapy. Stephanie joined her local Kin club primarily to be a part of TeleMiracle. However, she stayed for the friendships she formed and the opportunity to help people and programs in her community. Being a part of Kin has not only allowed her to give back but also to grow through various roles, event planning, and community connections. Stephanie decided to join the Kinsmen Foundation Board to see the “other side” of TeleMiracle. As an Occupational Therapist, she was drawn to the opportunity to help people receive funding for urgent medical needs and equipment that helps them maintain independence. She remained on the Board, moving into the OT role, because she loves the work and the connections she makes with other therapists and vendors across the province to ensure people have access to the equipment they need.

Favorite TeleMiracle Memory: Stephanie’s favorite TeleMiracle memory is from her first time volunteering at the event. She brought her sister along, and it was a special experience for them both, having grown up watching TeleMiracle from the audience. Being on the other side, answering phones, and meeting Bob McGrath was a childhood dream come true for Stephanie.

Passion for Community Service & Love of Sask: Stephanie’s dedication to community service is evident in her commitment to Kin Canada and her role on the Kinsmen Foundation Board. Her work as an Occupational Therapist complements her volunteer efforts, making her a valuable asset to the Board and the people she serves. For Stephanie, the best thing about living in Saskatchewan is the people. She loves the sense of community and the willingness of people to help and support each other, embodying the spirit of Saskatchewan.

Milestones & Awards: This year marks Stephanie’s 11th year in Kin. Throughout her time, she has held various roles at the club level and has served as Deputy Governor and as Awards Director on the District team. Stephanie also received the HREF bursary while attending university, which helped her achieve her dream of becoming an Occupational Therapist.
