Be Part of Saskatchewan’s Biggest Weekend in Television

Promotional graphic for TeleMiracle 51 Youth Host applications. The graphic features behind-the-scenes television broadcast imagery and the headline: “Be Our First-Ever Youth Host.” Supporting text reads: “Go Behind The Scenes At TeleMiracle 51,” followed by three highlights: “Experience live television,” “Learn from experienced broadcasters,” and “Meet people from across Saskatchewan.” The TeleMiracle 51 logo appears at the bottom.

What if you could learn from experienced broadcasters, meet people from across Saskatchewan, see how a major production comes together, and even step in front of the camera yourself?

That’s exactly what we’re offering through the TeleMiracle 51 Youth Host program!

Whether you’re studying marketing, broadcasting, journalism, communications, or simply love telling stories, this is your chance to be part of something unique.

Why We Created the Youth Host Program

The idea started with a simple belief: the future of TeleMiracle depends on young people.

As we look ahead to TeleMiracle 51, we want to give the next generation an opportunity to learn, grow, and help tell Saskatchewan’s stories.

A Front-Row Seat to Live Television

Most content today is recorded, edited, and published later. TeleMiracle is different.

For one weekend, hundreds of volunteers, performers, production crew members, sponsors, and community partners come together to create a live television broadcast seen across Saskatchewan.

As Youth Host, you’ll experience it from the inside. You’ll:

  • Spend a day with CTV News’ Sabeen Ahmad
  • Spend a day with Gary Nickel on Your Show with Gary Nickel
  • Help host one live hour on Sunday morning during TeleMiracle
  • Co-host one hour from the Backstage Lounge with Gary Nickel on Saturday evening
  • Join the team during venue setup and see the technical side of the broadcast come to life

You’ll see what happens before the cameras turn on, behind the scenes, and during a live broadcast.

Learn. Connect. Grow.

This opportunity is about more than being on camera.

You’ll learn from experienced broadcasters, gain hands-on experience, and build connections with people from across Saskatchewan.

From community fundraisers and partner visits to TeleMiracle week activities and Kin events, you’ll meet volunteers, community leaders, broadcasters, and fellow storytellers.

You never know which conversation could open the door to your next opportunity.

We’re Looking for Energy, Not Perfection

We’re not looking for the perfect host.

We’re looking for someone who is curious, enthusiastic, and willing to be themselves.

“What makes someone stand out? ENERGY! We want to see the real you!”

— Kayla Olsen, Events & Fundraising Administrator, Kinsmen Foundation

If you have a passion for storytelling and a willingness to learn, we’d love to hear from you.

What’s in It for You?

The selected Youth Host will receive:

  • A ring light

  • A chance to build valuable skills and experience
  • Behind-the-scenes access to Saskatchewan’s biggest weekend in television

Behind every TeleMiracle donation is a Saskatchewan neighbour helping another Saskatchewan neighbour.

Funds raised through TeleMiracle support the Kinsmen Foundation’s work providing medical travel assistance and mobility equipment to people across the province.

TeleMiracle is the fundraiser. The Kinsmen Foundation is the charity behind it, providing support to Saskatchewan residents year-round.

Since 1977, the people of Saskatchewan have helped raise more than $171 million, proving what can happen when communities come together to help one another.
